As a Senior Director - Global Data Privacy Program Manager, you will help strengthen StandardAero's personal data protection program to help ensure our compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies. You will ensure that global privacy requirements, such as GDPR, are understood by company's teams such as Legal, Information Technology, Human Resources, Marketing, and Sales. Design and implement program structure, action plans and processes across the organization to ensure full compliance.

This position reports to a Senior Vice President and is empowered to drive change and hold organizations accountable to adhere to privacy protection policies and regulations, thus making privacy at core component of StandardAero.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of operational experience (running cross-functional projects), subject matter knowledge (e.g., knowledge of the GDPR in industrial global company) and technical competence (an understanding data processing technologies, including the management of Data protection Impact Assessments - DPIA). You will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and administering data and privacy content (policies, standards, guidelines, and controls) through appropriate tools and systems. You must have the ability to work independently and build strong collaborative relationships along with being comfortable in a global industrial company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross functional project team to design, build and implement a global privacy program in compliance with applicable local privacy laws/regulations (most importantly GDPR).
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned privacy program management including defined project objectives, deliverables and target completion deadlines.
  • Build relationships with the functional leaders and gain their support and commitment in delivering to the plan.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in privacy program and laws to assist functional leaders in the implementation of new process and systems compliant to those laws.
  • Report program status, plans, risks and issues to the executive leadership teams.
  • Act as an advisor for the enterprise leaders to ensure company policies and laws on privacy are met.


Position Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the US or UK (depending on which location is applying).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Computer Science, related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of data privacy, program management, governance and/or operations experience.
  • Knowledge of global data and privacy regulations, laws, and compliance tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills and ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills using data to drive decisions in a fast pace business environment.
  • Experience working on complex, cross-functional projects as a program manager.
  • Experience of applying privacy frameworks (e.g. GDPR, PIPEDA, etc.), and privacy qualifications.
  • International Travel up to 10% of the time.


Desired Requirements

  • Master Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Law or related discipline.
  • Formal program management qualification or equivalent evidence of experience.
  • Solid understanding of core privacy laws and principles.
  • Privacy qualifications (e.g. CIPP/CIPM) are preferred.
