As an NDT II Inspector, you'll perform accurately and in compliance with the industry standards and regulations while being familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used. What you'll do : Set up and calibrate non-destructing testing equipment in accordance with the industry requirements. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organize and report test results. May instruct and supervise others. Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Requirements: Understands the application of the tools at hand to ensure the efficiency and quality of inspections. Communicates, speaks and writes clearly and informatively. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Adapts to changes in the work environment. Able to absorb and process information quickly. Focuses on solving conflict. Conducts in a professional manner and remains open to others' ideas. Regularly asked to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, reach and handle. Visual acuity and color vision. Ability to move, carry, lift up to 50 lbs. Work extended hours and stand for extended periods of time. Work in both cold and hot climates. Work in or near industrial hazards. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college is desirable. ASNT NDT Certification, or equivalent certifiable training. Candidate must present proof of class and/or OJT training. Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections. Mechanical aptitude.
