responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver accurate certificates of analysis to customers.
  • Check incoming C of As for conformance and trends.
  • Assists Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development personnel in identifying product/process quality upsets/problems ensuring that proper procedures are being followed.
  • Conducts data analysis, auditing, re-sampling, re-testing, investigations, and R & D requests
  • Informs management, manufacturing teams and other key personnel on all quality/process-related issues.
  • Participates in the investigation of quality/process related production problems and customer complaints
  • Participate in daily improvement Tier 2 and Tier 3 operations meetings representing quality.
  • Assists in ensuring the proper cleaning, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment. Also assists in ensuring appropriate records are maintained as evidence of conformance to both quality system and manufacturer requirements.
  • Assist in initiation of new processes, equipment, and software packages to facilitate continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in administration of Proficy database and Oracle enterprise resource planner.
  • Train employees on testing procedures

qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • College course work in Statistics, Computer Software and Chemistry desired.
  • 6+ years of performing quality testing and/or process analysis/troubleshooting.
  • Advanced skills in computer databases and spreadsheet programs
  • Knowledge of various statistical tools used for quality improvement.
  • Experience with computer systems and software for use with testing and data analysis.
  • Experience with Nonwoven product properties/processes, testing and QA policies/procedures.
  • Knowledge of safe handling and storage procedures for chemicals, fibers, and materials.
  • Knowledge of nonwovens performance, instrumentation, and test equipment to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 requirements.
