Position Highlights The Division of Undergraduate Education in the Office of the Provost is seeking a coordinator to engage Tribal Colleges, internal collaborators, and external community partners in developing transfer pathways to the University of Arizona. The person in this position will plan, implement, and evaluate the A Student's Journey (ASJ) program as well as other initiatives that improve the transfer student experience.

The Division of Undergraduate Education supports collaboration and provides leadership for inclusive, transformative learning opportunities across all undergraduate programs at the University of Arizona through high-quality, accessible, and equitable programs facilitating student empowerment, persistence, and well-being that lead to degree completion.

This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Planning and Implementation:

  • Work independently to plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of the A Student's Journey Program.
  • Recruit students to apply and participate in the program.
  • Engage faculty and staff to identify and on-board mentors for students.
  • Use innovative and creative approaches to improve program outcomes based on evaluation data.

Partner Development and Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with Tribal College and university partners.
  • Serve as the principal liaison between internal and external community partners to engage in undergraduate, student success, and transfer initiatives.
  • Maintain communication with college, division, department and external partners as well as management and leadership.

Other Undergraduate Education and Student Success Initiatives and Tasks:

  • Collect data to assist in program evaluation and identify needs for additional programs or services.
  • Develop communications materials to promote programs in communities.
  • Work in collaboration with management and leadership on new projects and concepts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to problem solve and complete tasks independently.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and listening skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Public speaking skills, including in classrooms, meetings, and at national conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and communities.
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
