Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Program Director is an integral part of the Department of Emergency Medicine working closely with the College of Medicine and the Integrated Clinical Enterprise (ICE) to support the mission and vision of the institution, jointly set and ensure strategic direction of the Department, facilitate quality, patient and family-centered care, outcomes including patient satisfaction, balanced scorecard performance and conformance with professional practices, accreditation, regulations and institutional policy. The Clinical Program Director has broad leadership responsibilities for business development and strategic growth of the Department, operations, personnel management, budget development, revenue cycle and fiscal management, and serves as the primary liaison to centralized campus functions. The Clinical Program Director works directly with the Emergency Medicine Chair and is responsible for fostering provider relationships and ensuring all provider activities including patient schedules, operations, patient volumes and other activities are maximized. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, clinical or related field plus nine (9) years of relevant experience to include three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient business operations of all aspects of the service line to facilitate patient access, expense management, productivity, patient safety, and patient and family-centered care.

  • Provides leadership and facilitate horizontal collaboration, communication and to fully support interdisciplinary and team performance.

  • Supports evidence-informed practices and ensures adequate and efficient use of resources.

  • Ensures clinical operations including clinical research operations and clinical education are efficient, integrated and highly oriented to providing a positive patient experience.

  • Establishes supports and enhances relationships with all stakeholder groups, especially employees.

  • Analyzes data to manage resources, identify opportunities, and implement change for continuous quality and financial improvement.

  • Develops and oversees budget to support clinical operations, including monitoring contract and clinical revenue/expenses, and collaborating with financial management and revenue cycle leadership to ensure financial success.

  • Collaborates with Human Resource partners to facilitate recruitment, hiring, on-boarding, training and evaluating providers and staff within the service line.

  • Contributes to overall strategic planning, vision and mission implementation for the Service Line, including directing and coordinating activities, goals, and objectives.

  • Negotiates and maintains service line specific revenue and procurement contracts.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
