PURPOSE OF POSITION The production line lead will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily production activities of a production line. This key position with the production team will ensure that production goals and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES * * Coordinate and supervise the daily production activities of assigned staff. * Load rolls of chipboard on machine ensuring continuous supply of material * Keep accurate records of hourly production numbers and scrap * Inspect filters and filter packaging at various stages of production, making corrections as necessary. * Assist with providing raw materials to the production line to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing. * Sets up line for the filter manufacturing. * Performs other duties as assigned by management to support production goals DECISIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist the supervisor in monitoring employee performance to ensure product quality aligns with company specifications * Ensure that all employees follow safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment * Responsible for production and packaging of products, ensuring they meet quality standards * Conduct regular checks on production processes and report any discrepancies to supervisor Collaborate and lead team members to foster a positive and productive Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Prior work experience and supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required * Strong communication skills; bi-lingual a plus * Must be able to use a tape measure accurately. * Must be computer literate * Must be able to utilize BPCS to order material and return stock. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS * Able to work in fast -paced, deadline driven environment May be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds. * Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. * Safety glasses are required at all times to protect against dust and particles. * Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes and dust particles. * Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions. * Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
