The University of Virginia seeks a data science researcher for the newly established National Security Data & Policy Institute. This role will report to the Institute Research Program Director and will provide research support and coordination for Institute deliverables. The deliverables require collaborative work with research teams across the University and will be responsible for training and supervising student workers. This is a full-time in-person position, with a negotiable flex schedule after the first two months. In-person attendance at meetings and events will be required throughout the year.

Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs. About the Position: The anticipated start date is October 30, 2024, however this position will remain open until filled.This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding, and performance.This is an exempt level, benefited position.
