Why Consider This Job Opportunity

The Tariff Analyst is responsible for maintaining and reporting of Logistics data related to tariffs and tradecompliance. This position is responsible for the maintenance of data tools (databases, dashboards, filing systems, etc.)to ensure visibility for management, groups within Murata, and data administration.

Workplace Policy

Position can be Hybrid from Rockmart, GA or Atlanta, GA.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Develop and maintain tariff dashboards as well as analyze tariff data to ensure accurate pricing calculations and tariff cost visibility for management.
  • Coordinate tariff refunds from the government and initiate customer reimbursements.
  • Support various departments such as sales and logistics by reporting and interpreting tariff-related data.
  • Optimize queries for large data sets to support trade compliance programs, including duty drawback, Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ), etc. This includes filing and recovering documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with various freight forwarding visibility systems, Murata's ERP, and document management systems to track, monitor status, and manage the shipment and billing documents.
  • Support transportation group to help coordinate the movement and documentation of inbound air, boat shipments, and direct shipments from suppliers to customers.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Continuously evaluate and improve job processes.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities and duties that may be assigned.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a relatable field.
  • 3+ years' work experience related to supply chain with knowledge in trade tariffs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Power Query or other database/query software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to use resourcefulness and knowledge to complete projects.
  • High sense of urgency and proactive approach.
  • Excellent administrative and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
