Summary

Volkswagen Chattanooga Operations internships are full-time positions (40 hrs/week). Candidates will be expected to be available to work during normal business hours (Monday - Friday; exact hours will vary by position and some positions might require work on Saturdays).To be eligible for the internship program, candidates are required to be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary educational institution or have graduated from one within the 6 months prior to the start date of the internship. External candidates who do not meet this guideline will not be considered.This internship is scheduled to begin in Jan 2025 and end in May 2025, with a chance for extension through August 2025.

Responsibilities

As a local intern, the applicant shall be responsible for assisting the Diversity and Programs Specialist with various internal projects and special events. This will require on-site execution including design, set up, and tear down. Maintain up-to-date event documents including registration forms and sign-up entries. The Intern will support on-going diversity & inclusion initiatives and may be asked to assist Employee Resource Groups

Qualifications

Required



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to structure and prioritize
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexible schedule



Preferred



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, FrontPage, Outlook)
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign

Pay

  • Junior: $18/hour
  • Senior: $20/hour
  • Bachelor's degree/recent graduate: $24/hour
  • Master's degree/enrolled or recent graduate: $27/hour
  • Ph.D. / enrolled or recent graduate: $29/hour
