BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Digital Associate Producer, you will be responsible for creating digital content in various formats, including text, audio, video, and image files. You will edit existing content and create multimedia assets such as infographics. You will be part of a collaborative team of producers and editors that create compelling, timely, and accurate digital content intended to engage and connect with our local audience for our teampartners (e.g. Dodgers & Lakers).

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Editorial production of news, sports, and lifestyle content - 1-2+ years
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field, or comparable television work experience
  • Technical Skills: Adobe CQ5 and Experience Manager to manage content, Dalet newsroom management systems and programs, basic Photoshop
  • Skills: Proactive, self-directed, and enthusiastic when handling breaking news and high-stress situations
  • Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to work rapidly and accurately
  • Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
  • Schedule: Ability to work different or longer shifts due to "breaking news" and severe weather emergencies, willing and able to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of HTML and broad-based computer applications

The base pay for this position generally is between $20.40 and $43.30. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
