CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut to join our Infrastructure - Transportation & Survey Team at our office in Hartford, CT. The professional in this role will be in the office approximately 80% of the time with the remaining time being spent in the field.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA's comprehensive approach to survey and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) is the hallmark of a successful project. Our approach includes a variety of tools and skillsets from boots on the ground to advanced measurement technology including the use of drones. We are focused on putting all the elements together to create sustainable solutions that result in accurate and precise work.

The Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut is responsible for obtaining and handling data and internal survey assignments utilizing CADD software. This individual will measure, record, and calculate data based on his/her findings and assist in creating drawings of the project site. The professional in this role will understand the various QC steps to be taken when preparing a survey plan or document. Additionally, the Experienced Surveyor - Central/Eastern Connecticut will also be proactive in developing their own self checking methods.

REQUIREMENTS

    High School Diploma required; Associate's and/or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • NSPS-CST Level II certification preferred
  • LSIT preferred
  • Valid US driver's license required
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience required
  • Rail experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office required
  • AutoCAD design software required, MicroStation & Inroads software preferred
  • Experience with data processing & product deliverables
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Demonstrates a good knowledge about the surveying industry
  • Strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to carry equipment over rough, uneven terrain, and physically navigate varying field conditions
  • Ability to travel short-term preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions required
  • Ability to represent him/herself and the company in a professional manner to the public


SALARY RANGE:

$25.00 - $30.28

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
