Job Summary:

The Retail Account Manager serves as the local primary point of contact between the company and the big box stores regarding concerns and needs. This role is tasked with building new and strengthening existing big box relationships to achieve long-term customer partnerships.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a local division point of contact for big box sales, building the relationship, addressing concerns and providing resolutions
  • Qualifies all big box leads based on lead details, type of equipment and geographic area
  • Schedules qualified big box leads with the retail sales team
  • Determines when to offer various promotions to customers
  • Develops a thorough understanding of products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell to clients
  • Provides customer service for all retail sales as required
  • Engages and partners with third party lead generating team to promote sales growth
  • Manages, processes, and tracks all incoming lead, follows up with open leads.
  • Processes customer payments
  • Maintains and reports weekly and monthly KPI's for big box and retail leads
  • Meets with Retail Manager to review KPI performance, identifies solutions to improve performance
  • Completes required reports and related documents promptly and accurately
  • Ensures the accuracy of all reports and accounting records
  • Continually searches for ways to improve results and effectiveness
  • Follows all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1+ years of sales/customer service or related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Intermediate computer skills and able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work overtime with little notice; weekend hours may occasionally be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience within a construction/HVAC or home services environment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and receiving positive feedback

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Frequently performs tasks requiring bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching
  • Must be able to adhere to long periods of standing, walking or sitting
  • Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds to operate phones or other office equipment safely.
  • With natural or corrected vision, able to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to others
  • Ability to enter text or data into a computer by means of a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to reach overhead, signal, grab, hold, lift, turn, push and pull objects and tools
