We are a global, diverse team of innovators, and we are seeking an exceptional Senior Principal Engineer to join us in our mission.

What you'll be doing:

As the Senior Principal Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving the commercialization of new electromechanical and disposable products for Baxter Healthcare. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex problems, from conception to final design, and display standard engineering principles to achieve efficient and effective solutions.

  • Drive the completion of commercialization activities to achieve the launch of new products.

  • Create and approve Design History File deliverables.

  • Act as the owner of Use Cases, User Requirements, System Requirements, and regulatory-based requirements.

  • Guide other engineers in the selection, evaluation, and adaptation of requirements, techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Provide technical leadership in risk activities and labeling activities.

  • Manage technical integration of work products and deliverables from sub-system design teams.

  • Collaborate with regulatory counterparts, supply chain, and third-party suppliers.

  • Recognize strategy, evaluate risks, recommend actions, and develop contingencies to address various scenarios.

  • Prepare and present written and oral reports and presentations to internal and external audiences.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Embedded, or Industrial) with 8+ years of experience.

  • Good working knowledge of regulations and standards.

  • Experience with products under design control.

  • Preferred: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the medical device industry.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $165,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
