OVERVIEW

Merrick is seeking a Civil Engineer l with 0-4 years of Civil Engineering experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office. On a case by case basis, Merrick offers a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.

Typical salary range for this position is $66,200.00 - $83,700.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Professional judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility.
  • Application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of tasks.
  • Prepare working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products.
  • Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments as required.
  • Supervisor will be available to screen assignments and to suggest techniques and procedures to be used on non-routine work.
  • Use prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person.
  • May be assisted by other technicians or administrative personnel.
  • May coordinate with the work of others who assist in specific assignments.
  • Interface with client, and Federal, Local and State government contacts on land development and municipal projects.
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Some travel may be required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
  • Must have zero (0) - four (4) years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings while receiving limited supervision after receiving initial instructions from supervisor.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Recent experience with Municipal and Land Development work.
  • Recent demonstrable experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Applicable internship experience.
