GIS Senior Project Manager
Halff Associates has an opening for a highly motivated Senior Project Manager on our GIS Team in the Richardson, TX office. The ideal candidate will be experienced with asset management and/or FEMA products. The position will be responsible for leading water resources and/or infrastructure management projects. The desired candidate will be a trustworthy, team oriented, self-motivated, creative problem solver and proactive client manager.
Responsibilities include leading mapping projects, implementing quality assurance and quality control processes and managing team members. The person in this position will thrive in a fast-paced environment managing projects and collaborating with internal staff and clients to provide solutions and deliverables. The position will need to be both detail-oriented and responsible for program results and communication with key clients.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience and/or related education in GIS
  • Leadership experience including project scoping, planning, budgeting, delegation, and staff management
  • Demonstrated experience with latest version of ESRI GIS software such as ArcMap 10.8 and ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or higher
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, and improve workflows
  • Ability to provide and review detailed work and provide quality assurance
  • Technical communication skills


Desired Skills:


  • Experience with database management best practices
  • Solid experience in the application of QA/QC processes and programs
  • Initiative to improve processes through process improvement or automation
  • Communication and collaboration skills to develop junior staff skills and provide mentorship
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to effectively evaluate and summarize project findings
  • Ability to monitor/adjust effort to meet task goals within budget
  • Help drive marketing efforts through presentations and client meetings
