Granular Area Senior Operator

The Granular Area Senior Operator will operate all 1A complex mills, screens, and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner to allow maximum production of various RVM/LVM grades of material while meeting established specifications and tonnage. This position will support our Adsorbents & Additives Business Unit in Quincy, FL.

Responsibilities

• Understand how to control mill system with HMI and Field Adjustments of conveyance systems and tanks and make changes to improve product quality.
• Able to route feed from prior processing steps through mill complex, and mill product to further processing steps.
• Able to route finished product from storage bins to further processing steps and to all packaging stations.
• Learn to gap mills, replace hummer screens, and adjust processing equipment to maintain operational control inside 1A mill complex. Also able to run in process testing such as mesh size testing for process control
• Able to adjust dust collection system and pick up points to ensure maximum product size material recovery
• Able to collect samples from all processing equipment: understand what adjustments can be made to all the primary circuit, regrind circuit, and pass through equipment to changes in particle size distribution.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, relevant prior work experience in lieu of education will be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial processes preferred.
• Experience with motorized industrial equipment is preferred.
• Physically able to lift fifty (50) pounds.
• Physically able to climb and work in high or elevated areas.
• Ability to work rotating shifts based variable sales throughout the year.
• Work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive manner; listening to and considering ideas from others; keeping commitments; keeping other informed of work progress and issues.
