The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Project Manager will oversee and direct day-to-day MDS center activities and provide important administrative support to faculty members, research programs, and initiatives within the MDS center. Responsibilities The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Create and utilize project management tools to monitor timelines and deliverables for a portfolio of grants.
- Assist in preparing progress reports and other project-related documents for funders and regulatory and monitoring bodies (e.g., IRB, data safety monitoring boards).
- Carry out day-to-day tasks of managing research studies, including maintaining agendas for meetings, managing shared Outlook calendars, scheduling meetings, organizing shared folders, emailing collaborators, and taking notes during team meetings.
- Advertise seminars and meetings as needed through email and flyers
- Coordinate registration, travel arrangements, and reimbursements for meetings and conferences, ensuring compliance with University and HICCC travel policies and procedures.
- Coordinate activities (managing all logistics for meetings, conferences, grant review sessions, and external advisory board, including arranging the venue, catering, travel/reimbursement for the board, tracking expenses, etc.) for the HIC Irving Drug Discovery Program.
- Develop visual and written content for project websites; Liaise with Communications to maintain program website.
- Provide support for other financial activities as appropriate.
- Provide administrative support for grant applications (Biosketch and Other Support, Facilities and Resources, Equipment, and PMC-compliant Bibliography updates) and publication submissions.
- Provide administrative support to the center Director for special projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, the ability to balance multiple competing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and accurately and meet quality standards
- Ability to anticipate and identify problems and collaboratively problem-solving in complex, fast-changing, and interdisciplinary settings
- Ability to work collaboratively with a culturally diverse staff, strong customer service skills, demonstrating tact and sensitivity in stressful situations
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, adjusting language and style for different contexts
- Ability to work independently and follow-through from idea generation to task completion
- Openness to constructive feedback and motivation to improve and further develop skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
