Position Summary

The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Engineering position. The position will start date of August 2025.

Duties/Responsibilities

This position includes classroom and lab teaching assignments in electrical engineering courses, as well as introductory engineering courses. The selected candidate is also expected to direct student design projects. It is expected that this faculty member will have a research agenda that leads to scholarly works and the engagement of undergraduate students. This faculty member may teach classes in one or more of the following areas: electrical power, electrical machines, signal processing, electromagnetics, circuits, microcomputers, and electronics.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Doctorate in Electrical Engineering or closely related field is required. Doctoral candidates may be considered at the rank of Instructor if a terminal degree is not conferred by hire date.
