Description Sign on Bonus Opportunity!! Patient Care Associate - Medical Unit- White 9 Why This Role Is Important? White 10 is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA), with Day and Night availability, to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. The medical acute care unit has twenty-five-beds for patients, and is located in Boston, MA. A majority of patients are admitted directly from the Emergency Department and have single or multi-system problems including, but not exclusively, alterations in gas exchange, airway clearance, cardiac function, renal function, nutrition, hepatic function, skin integrity and mental states. Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the mentorship of an RN. PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. We welcome applicants with equivalent experience in addition to those with a PCA certification. Qualifications Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care. Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
