The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division (JOID) provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

SPA's NATO Allied Command Transformation Group within JOID provides capability development, portfolio management, program management, quality management, cost estimation analysis, standardization, reporting, software solutions and information management, and capability management support. We also provide an improved capability requirements capture process, including the generation, documentation and tracing of user requirements, with appropriate technical scrutiny, over the entire lifecycle of the requirements from capability definition through capability realization and capability usage.

We have a near term need for a CVENT Event Manager to provide onsite support at HQ SACT in Norfolk, VA.



Responsibilities

The candidate will perform the tasking outlined below, applicable to all events requiring registration management through CVENT as directed by the Branch Head, Strategic Issues and Engagement Branch. Registration Management using CVENT including: develop registration landing pages; develop and test the registration process, including multiple registration pathways to accommodate all stakeholders as necessary; coordinate with the ACT office of budget and finance to develop an attendee payment solution in CVENT if conference fees are applicable; develop and manage event agendas in CVENT under the direction of the respective event PROJOs; develop and manage the speaker lists for individual events under the direction of the respective PROJOs; manage media and document libraries in CVENT; and SharePoint for all events as directed. Will develop, manage, and update content in Attendee Hub under the direction of the respective event OPRs, manage the registration approvals process in coordination with AOS and Protocol as required, and provide direct email support to registrants regarding registration and access/use of the CVENT Event Application. Will perform Registration Management not using CVENT and administrative support in the planning and execution of strategic engagements in support of the attendee experience.



Qualifications

Required:

    NATO Secret security clearance or National equivalent
  • Demonstrated competency as a user and administrator of the CVENT platform and all embedded functionality
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within the last 4 years where use of CVENT has been the primary role/duty
  • Minimum 1 year of experience within the last 3 in SharePoint administration for a large organization with proven ability to design, setup, and manage SharePoint portals and workflows while complying with organizational processes, practices, and tools
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, written, and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (Standardized Linguistic Profile (SLP) 3333 - Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) or equivalent

Desired:

  • Demonstrated ability to work in large, heterogeneous organizations and teams, being able to solve problems in a group environment
  • 3 years in the last 10 in the field of event management
