Job Summary:

Our company is moving from a product company to a solution company, and we are seeking an expert in data center infrastructure to assist Belden and its customers in influencing, contributing, and providing expertise in the development of new technologies and products for AI data centers of the future. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology development at Belden during this transformation. Working with an industry-leading team of experts,this role will contribute to innovative architecture-building projects that shape AI data centers and set industry standards in this field. Ideally, the role will be hybrid to a Belden office, however, we are open to considering a remotely located candidate.

Responsibilities:




  • This plays a crucial role in the development and advancement of new technologies within the AI data center connectivity infrastructure space. Identifying new technologies and contributing to their development will be your responsibility in this position.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology advancements. The role requires that the individual follows & contributes to industry trends, attends relevant conferences, engages in continuous learning & new technology development, and influences new technologies and developments.
  • This role entails authoring technical documents, conducting experiments, and collaborating with team members in order to contribute to the organization's knowledge base. Insights and expertise from the individual in this role should guide Belden's technology decisions and enhance its overall data center solutions.
  • As a technology expert, you will be required to understand, evaluate and build the architecture building blocks of cutting-edge connectivity products that optimize data center performance.
  • Responsible for evaluating, testing, and experimenting new connectivity products and solutions for improving network latency, interoperability, speed, and bandwidth in data centers. As part of this process, prototypes are also designed and implemented, feasibility studiesare conducted, and compliance with industry standards is ensured. Also, the expertise of this individual will be important in troubleshooting complex issues and providing technical support to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Assess the compatibility and scalability of emerging technologies with existing connectivity and IT infrastructure.



Required Skills and Experience




  • Masters or PhDdegree in engineering, technology, communications, electrical, computers, or similar field, preferred.
  • Worked in data center design, development and or implementation with strong connectivity, IT infrastructure knowledge and understanding.
  • 10+ years of successful track record of working on early technology evaluations& developments.
  • Thrive in ambiguity, capable of deconstructing a complex problem into small actionable steps and hold oneself and team accountable to deliver on individual pieces, able to make decisions with imperfect information
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Experience developing and managing complex technical projects.
  • Worked and led industry standards development bodies such as IEEE, IEC, TIA/EIA, etc, preferred.


Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $150,000 - $180,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
