Atlas Tech is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for an effort to provide systems engineering and integration of Naval software systems. Pay Band - $100,000 - $140,000 varies with experience. You Will:
- Provide knowledge in systems engineering and information technology related to DevOps
- Architect and develop solutions to solve problems and implement enhancements
- Investigate and resolve issues that span multiple applications/technologies and require involvement from technical personnel across multiple groups
- Develop and/or revise system designs and architectures to improve efficiency, stability, effectiveness, supportability, and sustainability
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for integration and deployment
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and enhance software delivery
- Plan and manage team activities across sprints
- Be responsible for automating and streamlining operations/processes
- Provide feedback on internal processes and recommendations for improvement
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related taskings as needed
- Provide technical analysis integral to enterprise automation solutions for large systems
- Provide in-depth research and analysis of issues and new technologies
- Prepare technical briefs to present to engineering review teams
- Integrate COTS and GOTS software into CANES baselines
- Provide technical knowledge to support and maintain IT enterprise products
- Lead and manage a small team
You Have:
- U.S. Citizenship
- A minimum of a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level Security Clearance or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to hire date
- DoD 8140\8570 Certifications to be qualified as an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II
- 5+ years of DevOps experience in a senior engineer role overseeing complex IT infrastructure
- Automated infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with AWS EC2 and S3 building virtual instances and utilizing cloud storage
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform development and maintenance (Projects, Templates, Workflows, Execution Environments, etc.)
- Experience with Ansible development (Inventories, Collections, Roles, Modules, Playbooks, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of DevOps products and tools for automation
- Working knowledge and experience with Agile framework and Scrum
- Decomposed high level epics/features into prioritized stories and tasks
- Ability to effectively install, configure, and administer in a multi-system and/or multi-application environment
- Experience with Microsoft PowerShell is critical as it is heavily leveraged to automate installation, configuration, hardening, and maintenance tasks
- Experience with other programming/scripting languages
- Knowledge of Linux/Windows OS and networking from a system design perspective
- Ability to create and test virtualized environments (VMWare, OpenShift, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure) for development and testing procedures that are traceable to system requirements
- Working knowledge and experience of System Engineering processes and procedures
- Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of users, engineers, managers, and organizations
- Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment
- Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality
- Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities
- Experience with leading and mentoring junior staff while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- 10+ years of IT experience
We'd be Impressed if You Had:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or engineering
- Experience with Git, familiarity with GitLab, GitLab Pipelines, Artifactory, Confluence and Jira
- Knowledgeable with integrated development environment (IDE, Visual Studio Code) for GIT management and code revision
- Experience with programming/scripting languages (Bash\Python\HTML\JAVA)
- Experience with developing robust, standardized development environments for teams of developers that integrate custom tools and automated testing capabilities
- Experience with Test Driven Development.
- Experience creating and managing services in AWS or Azure
- Experience with Satellite
- Experience with VMWare virtual infrastructure
- Experience with Linux administration and BASH scripting
- Certified ScrumMaster Certification
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation
- Red Hat certification in OpenShift
- Microsoft certification (i.e., MCIT, MCSA, MCSE, etc.)
- Linux\Red Hat certification (Linux+, RHCE)
- Certifications: Scrum\Agile, CISSP, SANS, ITIL, PMP
