Business Title: Team Leader II

Job Summary:

Facilitate daily operations in the manufacturing plant center by ensuring associates adhere to safety, quality and performance standards. Troubleshoot issues on automated line, set up jobs, observe and coach performance of associates.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Uphold and model safe work practices. Proactively seek opportunities to improve safety.
  • Complete layered process audits and other quality documentation, as required.
  • Complete daily 5S audit and ensure work center adheres to all 5S standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through Tier 1 meetings, effective communication, and develop an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes.
  • Manage work center inventory using WMS 2018 through order allocation, directed work and scrap processes.
  • Troubleshoot automated downtime occurrences and escalate unplanned downtime to appropriate support functions, as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor with safety investigations and reports. Communicate incidents to appropriate level as needed.
  • Assist Supervisor with onboarding new associates. Provide training opportunities and ensure training records are completed and properly retained.
  • Record daily production and downtime data through company software.
  • Respond to associate questions and concerns, escalating to supervisor or HR when required.
  • Display management courage to uphold policies, processes, and appropriate behavior.
  • Assist supervisor with coaching associates, participating in employee review process and providing training opportunities. Uphold a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate employee timekeeping records.
  • Coordinate the overall assignment of work within respective value stream with the supervisor and other team leaders to attain business needs.



Job Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent (completed)
  • Experienced level in job function
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficient in WMS 2018.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, professionalism, accountability, communication, and positive attitude
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated structured problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts, 5S, and Continuous Improvement practices.
