The Team

The Strategic Sales Operations Partner oversees the business's sales operations, aiming to achieve market share, revenue, and margin goals. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing sales plans, strategies, and policies, managing deal strategies, performing capacity planning, and ensuring accurate revenue recognition. The Strategic Sales Operations Partner provides critical insights into customer and competitive dynamics, prioritizes sales projects, and develops compelling value propositions. This role establishes sales standards, manages budgetary controls, and fosters multi-functional collaboration. With a blend of technical and business skills, the Strategic Sales Operations Partner drives business results and optimizes goals within the constraints of the business.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales plans, strategies, and policies to achieve market share, revenue, and margin goals.
  • Deal Strategy Management: Oversee deal strategies to ensure alignment with business objectives and maximize profitability.
  • Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning to ensure the sales team is adequately resourced to meet targets.
  • Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Provide insights into customer and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Project Prioritization: Prioritize sales projects based on potential impact and alignment with business goals.
  • Value Proposition Development: Develop and communicate compelling value propositions to support sales efforts.
  • Sales Standards and Policies: Establish and maintain sales standards and policies to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgetary controls to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across multiple functions to drive business results and achieve sales objectives.
What You Will Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in sales operations, sales strategy, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in sales operations software and CRM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles.
  • Technical proficiency with data analysis tools and software.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Collaborative team player with strong leadership skills.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts in those states that require it, the expected base salary for this position is:

Base Salary Range - $130K - $150K

The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara's bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
