Position Summary: The National Account Manager (NAM) serves as a specialized individual contributor overseeing one of three distinct groups of fleet business, including Rental, Fleet Management Companies (FMC), and Major/Strategic Accounts. The role demands a strategic mindset, adept at fostering relationships, developing tailored programs, and driving growth initiatives within the designated sector. While each account type presents unique challenges and opportunities, the NAM plays a pivotal role in driving profitability and expanding market share. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and win new major account targets (Example: Amazon)
- Actively work to discover criteria for customer decision making to feed back into fleet organization.
- Apply multi-faceted sales techniques/approaches to secure meetings with strategic account decision-makers.
- In conjunction with FMC NAM, develop tailored programs to drive activation and growth of major/strategic qualified FMC clients.
- Deliver new customers to PB in target markets, some examples include:
- Reconditioning Targets: Cars.com, CarMax, Carvana, TrueCar, Autotrader, CarGurus, Peddle, CarsDirect DriveTime, Edmunds, etc.
- Top US Fleets (FMC/Non-FMC): Amazon, etc., based on attractiveness to PB.
- Use prospecting tools effectively to get to the most ideal customers.
- Skilled at getting to the fleet decision makers.
- Highly skilled at getting to fleet decision makers, professionally presenting PB solutions, and conceiving and implementing programs that create competitive advantage for PB.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Strong sales experience and proven sales growth experience is required
- Experience prospecting and cold calling customers
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong relationship building and customer service skills is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert management skills necessary to lead a Sales team.
- Expert knowledge of Fleet Service or similar fields
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Outlook, Office & CRM tools
- Effective ability to plan and manage on both the strategic and operational level
- Must maintain a valid driver's license that meets the criteria under company policy
