Compensation Range:$192,200 To $240,200 Plus bonus

Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.

Job Purpose

This position will direct, supervise and transform the service accounting team into a lean entrepreneurial finance team. In parallel and in a short period of time a team being 100% dedicated as the finance lead in the ES Transformational project to enable the ES business to become an efficient, profitable; customer focused business though a lean quote to cash process. This position will report to the VP Finance, Energy Systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Initially oversee the service accounting function; assess systems; process and resources and implement an efficient solution within available resources. Recruit finance lead and hand off asap.

* Represent ES Finance Global on the ES Transformation project and identify problems; challenges and areas for improvement and work with the team to implement effective controlled practical solutions making it easy for the customer to do business with us and easy for ES staff to work with fellow Enersys employees to fulfill customer needs right first time

* Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.

* Identify control weaknesses and determine process improvements to make sure that effective controls are maintained over the financial accounting and reporting for the business

Supervise finance team members to support and evolve the function consistent with requirements for the business transformation.

* Ad hoc requests

* Ability to identify operational challenges; weakness and areas for improvement

* Ability to identify solutions above issues and explain/inspire team to rapidly implement solutions

* Ability to interact with colleagues of varying skill levels and to motivate them to drive change

* Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

* Ability to critically think and solve problems that deal with a variety of variables.

* Advanced understanding of financial statements and proven experience in overseeing financials of a business unit.

* Self-motivated and proactive

* Able to work independently.

Qualifications

COMPETENCIES:

  • Significant experience working at or auditing of a multi-billion dollar public company with international operations
  • SEC reporting experience
  • Technical Accounting Research and Memo preparation
  • Cost based manufacturing experience preferred
  • Superior communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Exceptional management skills of multiple priorities
  • High level of integrity with a team-oriented disposition
  • Ability to work effectively within all levels of management

Education and/or Experience

  • * Prior experience leading and championing significant enterprise-wide finance change initiatives that included process, systems and people transformation required

    * Prior consulting experience highly valued

    * Strong commercial accountant in a Senior Financial role

    * Extensive experience of a variety of ERP/EDW platforms

    * MBA or BS Accounting preferred

Language Skills

  • Ability to speak and read English fluently is required
  • Other language skills a plus.

Computer Skills

  • Ability to operate all standard Microsoft applications (Office 365)
  • Ability to operate financial systems a plus, Hyperion, BAAN, SAP etc.

TRAVEL REQUIRED:Travel will be required to Bellingham and other ES locations; estimate 60% of time; but will be dependent on project needs
