Position Highlights The Corporate Student Success Coach (Academic Advising Professional I) provides pro-active support to undergraduate corporate students enrolled at Online Initiatives, acting as an additional layer of advising to guide new and continuing Guild students from the point of acceptance into the university through graduation, ensuring students have access to the resources and support needed to successfully complete a degree program.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Student Advising & Success Coaching (Corporate):
* Provide coaching, support and outreach to several hundred assigned students each session. This includes but is not limited to:
o Guide new and continuing students through UA orientation and familiarize students with campus resources.
o Advise on time management, study skills and academic success tips to improve and maintain student retention with our corporate student population.
o Work alongside the student's academic advisor as an additional, holistic form of support.
o Prioritize at-risk corporate students who are failing or unenrolling (see below).
o Provide contacts for Guild resources (for questions regarding their eligibility, billing questions, etc).
* Prioritize outreach for the following scenarios:
o Use DEW Reports to show failed students and engage with the student to provide support/resources in future semesters.
o Review Trellis Progress reports throughout each session, regular outreach throughout the sessions when student is struggling/not logging into D2L.
o Unenrolled students: Proactive outreach during key points through the academic year (i.e. late July/early August and December/early January).
* Meet regularly with Corporate Partnerships, OSS, AZO enrollment, and other internal units for updates, issues, feedback, and improvement on processes to aid in corporate student retention.

Specialized Projects:
* Work with College of Engineering and Eller alongside Corporate Client Manager and OSS to address trends in retention issues for Guild students related to coursework.
* Liaison with Student Success units across campus, including:
o SALT, Think Tank, Disability Resource Center
o A Center students/advising (students who are currently on academic probation)
o Colleges/advising staff

Other Duties as Assigned:
* Attend Guild events/schedule onsite 1:1 appointments alongside Corporate Enrollment Team and Client Manager.
* Regular integration with Guild Growth Coaches:
o Understanding needs-based scholarship/grant opportunities for students.
o Attempt to record drop reason for all Guild students-track reasons to adjust advising accordingly.

- Managing competing priorities with strong attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree, and one year of relevant Advising or Enrollment experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in human services or customer services.
