Job Description

Come join our life-saving team and support the care of critically ill children in our new PICU.

This position will provide medical care for patients in the PICU in collaboration with the pediatric critical care attending physicians. Help teach our medical students, residents, and nursing staff, perform numerous skilled procedures, and assist with the ventilator management of critically ill children admitted to the PICU. The individual in this role will also help develop the standard of nursing care / possible research activities as well as other duties assigned by supervisor.

Shift

General working hours may be adjusted based on the personal needs of the successful candidate but the priority is to provide daytime coverage. Candidates have the flexibility to work either 8 or 10 hour shifts.

Minimum Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing degree. Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Must be granted a "Document of Recognition" from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess a specialty certificate by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB), the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Pediatric Certification Nursing Board (PCNB), or the National Certification Corporation (NCC).

* A current ARNP license from the State of Missouri
* National certification as NNP (national exam)
* Previous Pediatric Critical Care experience

Anticipated Hiring Range

Hiring Range: $90,251 - $120,000 yearly
Grade: PAT-012
