LinQuest is seeking a GPS Systems Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

LinQuest is seeking an Engineer with technical experience in GPS User Equipment (UE) to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Enterprise Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) team. The PNT Enterprise SE&I Team provides engineering, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support for the Global Positioning System (GPS).

The NAVWAR team provides systems engineering and analysis services to include system development, enterprise and system architecture, acquisition, testing, operations, and sustainment support for existing and new capabilities. As a NAVWAR Engineer with a focus on the User Segment, you will perform User Segment system requirements verification, help manage the GPS Receiver Initialization process, provide subject matter expertise for the Technical Baseline, among other duties.

In this role you will work in a high-paced environment with Govt personnel and system developers to ensure GPS remains the gold standard for positioning, navigation and timing.

Responsibilities:



  • Implementing GPS capabilities, requirements, architectures, concepts, designs and technologies in software. The software implementation will help validate, test, and model the current and future GPS architectures
  • Actively participate in the GPS requirements process, to include requirements development
  • Interact with the Systems Engineering government team, other program government leads, external organizations (e.g. FAA, DOT), and prime contractors to ensure that system requirements and interfaces are consistent and valid across the GPS Enterprise



Required Skills & Experience:



    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or Science
    • Ability to Obtain a Secret clearance
    • 5+ years of overall experience
    • Demonstrated experience with designing and developing software
    • Demonstrated understanding of Systems Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and interrelating with diverse personnel and dynamic teams
    • Extremely motivated individual who is a self-starter and works well in a team environment
    • Ability to obtain DoD secret clearance is required to be considered for this position



    Preferred Experience:



    • Current active Top Secret Clearance
    • GPS experience and experience with GPS receivers
    • Software Experience with MS Visual Studio C++, C#, Python, MatLab
    • Experience and familiarity working with DoD organizations
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Modeling Tools


    Compensation:



    • Starting salary ranges from $100,000 to $118,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
