OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our team. The Margin Strategy and Investment Optimization (MSIO) team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance team at the forefront of Microsoft's cloud-first strategy and we are seeking a highly collaborative individual who thrives in designing and implementing new processes and delivers on execution. This individual will be key to ensuring the buy/sell long-term contracts operationalized in accordance with MS Policies, GAAP, local GAAP and SOX. The role requires the ability to optimize processes for efficiency and scale and have an outstanding attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, takes initiative, is excited for big challenges and can work independently in their approach to solving complex problems. ResponsibilitiesEstablish & oversee accounting processes for tracking the costs for the build out and expansion of the Datacentres in the Sovereign Cloud contract arrangement, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.Drive insightful monthly financial reporting & analysis through preparation of key deliverables for monthly close, planning (forecast, target, budget, etc.) and other financial & Business review cycles. Effectively collaborate with launch managers and cross-company operational, finance, compliance, technical, business and engineering managers to enable and oversee financial and operational processes including billing, credits processing, recording shipping and tax invoices to comply with partner and Microsoft accounting requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and capacity teams to drive compliant and scalable growth by automating procurement and cost-tracking processes and ensuring finance readiness for both partners and Microsoft. Prepare, maintain and update compliance documentation including but not limited to narratives, process flows, accounting flows, etc.Other ad-hoc projects as assigned by Leadership Team
