The Media Prep Lab Services Senior Technician contributes to producing microbiological media, cell culture media, various solutions, buffers, clean glassware and prepared equipment for use throughout GMP and/or R&D groups.

In addition, the Media Prep Lab Services Senior Technician is responsible for working effectively within the group to meet department goals and objectives.

The Opportunity

• Preparation of stock such as reagents, buffers, microbiological, tissue culture and requested custom media as needed.

• Operate process equipment, which includes autoclaves, washers, ovens, tanks, and benchtop instruments.

• Managing level of media stock and glassware inventory in all areas of operations and responsible for executing glass wash and equipment preparation activities.

• Cleaning, sterilizing, preparing and distributing of glassware and equipment.

• Demonstrate technical expertise and strength including mastery in media preparation, glassware operations, equipment and instruments used.

• Supporting the team by providing training and technical assistance.

• Maximize production output including documentation and labor efficiency while meeting required safety and quality levels.

Who You Are

• You hold a BS/BA in one of the life sciences or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Experience in media prep and glassware operations or related operational environment.

• Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with sterilizing/cleaning equipment

Preferred Requirements

• LEAN or other Operational Excellence training and experience a plus.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $62,500.00 - $116,100.00 USD Annual.Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
