2025 Summer Internship: Intern, Sports Field and Grounds St. Louis CITY SC is looking for an intern to join our Summer Internship Program. The intern will assist with pitch maintenance of our Training Facility and the pitch in CITYPARK, testing the quality of both pitches, managing pitch maintenance during CITY2 matches, and much more! 1. Pitch Maintenance: The intern will assist in the daily operation and maintenance of CITYPARK and its training facility. This will encompass tasks such as mowing, edging, line marking, and ensuring the cleanliness of the synthetic surfaces. Applicants for this position should be prepared to perform tasks that may include hand-pulling weeds or removing grass from synthetic surfaces as part of their responsibilities. 2. Match Day Prep of CITYPARK: The intern's role will include assisting in preparing CITYPARK to meet safety and operational standards. This involvement will consist of various tasks, including those related to match-specific preparations, to ensure the field is in excellent condition. 3. Pitch Testing: The intern will assist in regularly evaluating the quality and safety of the playing surface at CITYPARK and its training facility. This involves conducting field tests to ensure they meet FIFA specifications. Documenting the results of these tests is essential for ongoing maintenance and improvements. 4. Managing CITY 2 Match Day: On match days for CITY 2, the intern will take on a crucial role in ensuring the pitch and facility are ready. This includes coordinating field preparations, working with the teams, and managing tasks related to the event. It's a key responsibility to ensure a successful match day experience. 5. Exposure to Hosting Major Events: This internship offers the opportunity to be part of major events hosted at CITYPARK. These events might include significant teams and matches like the USWNT, USMNT, Leagues Cup, etc. This exposure can provide valuable experience in managing high-profile sporting events. 6. Skill Development and Career Foundation: Throughout the internship, the intern will have the chance to develop and refine their skills in sports turf management. This experience will serve as a solid foundation for their future career in this field, giving them hands-on knowledge and practical expertise at a professional level. Qualifications:
