Position Type: Seasonal - Full Time and Part Time Wage Range: $15-16 + tips Supervisory: No Supervised By: Sams Alley Supervisor /Taps Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Pizza and Sandwich maker in Sams Alley. Positive, outgoing, and energetic individuals who are willing to learn, practice and exemplify the Schweitzer culture of hospitality and teamwork while working in a fun, fast paced environment. Applicants should be at least 16 years old. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for food preparation, knife handling, and some cashiering. Works closely with Kitchen supervisor. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation. Responsible for basic monetary exchange skills as well as strong guest interaction skills. Must be knowledgeable of all equipment and food cycle information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 2 to 3 hours at a time. Will get breaks as available. Will lift up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 50 lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and is exposed to all kitchen hazards. All sensory skills needed. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Food preparation expertise EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math, knowledge of Health Code EXPERIENCE: Basic cooking and cashiering skills AGE REQUIREMENTS: 16+ LICENSE NEEDED: None MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: State of the art digital pizza ovens, processors, basic kitchen tools including knives. JUDGMENT/MENTAL COMPLEXITY: Moderate to High REVIEW SCHEDULE: This position and the person filling it will be reviewed once a season.
