THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Bureau of Policy, Analysis and Planning is seeking an organized, positive individual to fill our Clerical Assistant 2 position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The employee will serve as a Clerical Assistant 2 to the Bureau of Policy, Analysis and Planning, and will be responsible for routine and moderately complex and technical clerical duties. These duties include typing correspondence, filing, answering telephones, and scheduling meetings and events.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full time employment.
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
