General Job Description: The Lead Tool Room Attendant is responsible for assisting the Tool Crib Manager in successfully managing all tool crib inventory levels and displaying sound judgement and initiative to complete tasks including, but not limited to, assisting field and shop personnel with requests to ensure fulfillment of all tool and hardware requests. This position reports directly to the Tool Crib Manager. Supervises: None Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in verifying that tool orders have been pulled and filled.
- Assist in scheduling deliveries with field personnel, check completion of loading and unloading of trucks/trailers.
- Assist in maintaining any tool crib stock items, max and min level ordering.
- Receive tools and products from vendors.
- Assist in gathering and sending tools for the tool repair programs, utilizing our vendors as much as possible.
- Assist in updating any tracking, calendars, files, data entry and timesheets.
- Inspect returned safety equipment and tools for proper operation or needing repairs.
- Assist the manager with maintaining a clean, organized and productive work area and tool crib.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, etc.):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have at least 1 year of previous experience with pneumatic and electrical tools.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in lead roles.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to other employees of the organization.
- Perform basic use functions on Computers and iPads.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Ability to carry out instructions through written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to multi-task.
