POSITION SUMMARY



The Training Specialist plans, develops, and delivers company training programs and workshops to employees and managers. This position will monitor and track the effectiveness of training using individual or group performance results. Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation. Develop new training program design and existing program enhancements including lesson plans and training aids. Training programs may typically include topics such as supervisory / management training, work skills training, team building, and communications. This position assesses organization-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performance.

Location: Lawrenceville, GA highly preferred or Lancaster, TX.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Create / develop classroom and remote training for various departments.
  • Develops course content based upon training needs assessment that makes the best use of available resources and productivity.
  • Conducts training and skills assessments of DSV Solutions to determine training needs.
  • Creates dashboards and KPI's to measure training effectiveness of training programs.
  • Teach training methods and skills to instructors and supervisors.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors using dashboards, scorecards and KPIs.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Trains and coach managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
  • Manage various HR programs including but not limited to surveys, succession planning, Global learning, and development programs.
  • Monitor DSV internship and co-op programs.
  • Oversee onboarding and assimilation process in North America
  • Develop and manage training budget to align with operational needs.
  • Oversee the creation of online learning modules and other educational materials for employees.
  • Manage external training programs and vendors.


SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or Instructional Design Certificate combined with work experience.
  • 4 to 7 years of related experience
  • American Society for Training and Development and International Society for Performance Improvement certificates preferred but not required.
  • Certification and experience in facilitating behavioral, candidate, pre-employment, and other assessment programs preferred.


Computer Skills:



  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, and Power Point)
  • Preferred experience - Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch, Figma, and Canva.


Certificates & Licenses:



  • Instructional Design


Language Skills:



  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.



Mathematical Skills



  • Good mathematical skills

  • This person is expected to communicate information clearly and facilitate learning by diverse audiences. They also must be able to effectively convey instructions to their audience.
  • Use critical-thinking skills when assessing classes, materials, and programs. They must identify the training needs of an organization and recognize where changes and improvements can be made.
  • Deliver the best training programs to meet the needs of the organization. Reviewing available training methods and materials and choose those that best fit each program.
  • Collaborate with staff, trainees, subject matter experts, and the organization's leaders. Able to accomplish work through partnership.
  • Ability to organize, motivate, and instruct diverse groups of employees.
  • Work overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
