Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Manager for Campus Activities. Reporting to the Assistant Dean/Director of Student Life and Leadership, the Manager for Campus Activities manages, organizes and assesses various student involvement, leadership development, and community engagement programs initiated by the Office of Student Life & Leadership. These programs and experiences are designed to challenge and support emerging, executive and advanced student leaders as they progress through critical stages of identity development.
The Manager for Campus Activities responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
- Advises governing councils and student organizations
- Manages all major student life events
- Creates leadership development programs
- Directs community engagement opportunities
- Supervises work-study program and the daily operation of the Student Life office
- Manages the office's outreach, marketing, and communication
- Works collaboratively with members of the Dean of Students Team, Division of Student Affairs, and departments throughout the University to foster a campus environment that promotes the positive growth and development of students

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of student development and leadership, student organization advising, event planning and coordination, workshop facilitation, office administration and report writing
- Requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of work and management of people

Preferred Qualifications |
- A minimum of two years professional experience in higher education

Immunization Requirements
