The Division of NEPHROLOGY AND HYPERTENSION AT STONY BROOK MEDICINE is recruiting a full-time Physician Scientist or Ph.D. Scientist reporting directly to the Chief of Nephrology. The selected incumbent will be expected to develop an independent research program supported by extramural funding. Tenure eligible position.
Qualifications
PHYSICIAN SCIENTIST: Required Qualifications: MD, DO, MD/PhD (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Board Certified/Eligible in Nephrology. Experience in clinical care and clinical, translational or basic research in the field of nephrology. Will be responsible for research, patient care and teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated publication and active funding track record in clinical, translational, and/or basic research is preferred. The ideal candidate will have exhibited a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge of the field of nephrology, as well as demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical, educational, and academic excellence. SCIENTIST: Required Qualifications: PhD, MD, MD/PhD (or equivalent). Experience in clinical, translational or basic research in the field of nephrology.
