The Supply Technician will primarily perform all Supply functions in accordance with the Performance
Work Statement (PWS), M1 policy, DAFI 21-101(and supplements), as well as industry standards.
Responsibilities may include:
* Performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage
management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty,
complexity, or responsibility.
* Performs assignments related to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management
operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work
generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. This work may require consideration of
program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.
* Assignments requires: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs,
policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding
of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the
dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or
recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
* Performs all required Supply Technician duties in an Air Force aircraft maintenance environment IAW
the PWS, Company Policy, applicable AFIs, and industry standards.
* Performs Government Property Management and supply level accountability IAW applicable guidance.
* Maintains aircraft and support equipment forms and records IAW AF procedures utilizing AF
Information Systems and forms as required.
* Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
* Position requires complying with unique commuting/travel requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
* High school diploma or GED is required.
* Minimum of three years USAF supply management experience and experience operating a supply
warehouse. Attainment of an Air Force 5 level (or equivalent) in associated field is highly desired.
* Working knowledge of principles applying to aircraft systems, concepts and applications of
maintenance directives, data reporting, and using technical data is mandatory.
* Knowledge of Air Force supply and efficiency reporting procedures is mandatory.
* Knowledge of the proper handling, use, and disposal of hazardous waste and materials is mandatory.
* Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Must be able to obtain/maintain the security clearance level as mandated by the government
customer.
* Must possess a current valid U.S. Driver's License.
* Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close
proximity of running equipment and aircraft.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while
maintaining a professional and non-confrontational attitude.
* Must be able to work day, night, weekend, or overtime shifts as required.
Working Conditions:
* Will work in aircraft hangars and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity of running
equipment and aircraft.
* Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, or overtime shifts as required.
* May work outdoors, sometimes in hot or cold weather.
* May be exposed to contaminants.
* May be exposed to hazardous conditions, such as when standing on scaffolding or climbing ladders
* Will be exposed to loud and persistent noise
* Will be required to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety toe footwear, safety
glasses, etc.
