  • Estimated hourly base pay: $28.03(minimum) - $35.05(midpoint) - $42.07(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? We are seeking an experienced automation system designer to join our team. The Automation System Designer will be responsible for 3D designing robot cells and machines for automated manufacturing processes.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop 3D designs for automation systems, including robot cells and machines
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications
  • Create detailed technical drawings and schematics for system components
  • Collaborate with mechanical and control engineers to ensure system functionality and integration
  • Test and troubleshoot prototypes and final products to ensure quality and performance
  • Define regular maintenance and upgrade schedules for existing automation systems
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies in automation and robotics
  • Provide training and support to other team members as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-year technical degree, certification, or relevant experience is needed. Ongoing education related to the role is also required
  • Minimum 5+ years designer experience or combination of bachelor's degree or international equivalent and experience required, along with proven experience in designing automation systems, including robot cells and machines
  • Proficiency in 3D design software, such as SolidWorks or CREO
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
