The Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track position in disabilities, beginning in fall 2025. Applications will be accepted for appointment at the level of assistant professor. Applicants must demonstrate potential for or an established record of excellence in funded research, scholarship, and teaching and meet the University's requirements for faculty rank. Ranked among the top 10 programs of social work research and education in the country, The Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin,provides unique opportunities for interdisciplinary and community-engaged research and teaching at the BSW, MSSW, and PhD levels. Through scholarship, teaching, and service in a research-intensive public university, our nationally and internationally renowned faculty are leaders in social work research, education, and practice. We seek colleagues who can contribute to the school's excellence, leadership, and collaborative environment. Qualifications
Ph.D. in social work or a closely related discipline is required. We seek applicants with research expertise in developmental and acquired disabilities across the lifespan with an emphasis on transition age and adulthood; and/or disability policy. Successful candidates are expected to teach across our undergraduate and graduate programs, develop and implement a funded program of research, and maintain a strong record of high-impact publications. We also value colleagues who invite collaboration with other faculty and who demonstrate a commitment to service in the university, community, and the profession. Application Instructions
