The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine invites applications for a full-time appointment stream faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level.
Qualified candidates must possess or be able to obtain an appropriate license for clinical practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; have a DDS/DMD or foreign equivalent; have a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from a CODA-accredited program; be board certified or eligible for certification; have developed an area of clinical excellence; and have proven administrative experience. Favorable consideration will be given to those with leadership skills, additional expertise, and training credentials such as a dual specialty certification, MS, PhD, fellowship qualification, or other advanced degrees. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, and credentials.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to didactic and clinical instruction of residents and dental students, curriculum development, implementation of program policies, research supervision, scholarly activities, and service. Leadership opportunities to serve as a predoctoral director or graduate program director may be available for qualified candidates. Participation in University Dental Health Services (UDHS) faculty practice is expected.
