The primary responsibilities of the Registrar's Office include creating, maintaining, and updating student records and registration details, as well as course scheduling, academic room scheduling, transfer credit evaluation, degree audit, and reporting in service to the campus and its constituents.

The Degree Progress Specialist plays an integral role in facilitating the development, enhancement, maintenance, and campus-wide use of the degree audit system and all its components.

This position reports to the Associate Registrar and works as part of the Degree Audit group.

What you will do:



  • Evaluate degree audit records for students who are in their final year of degree completion to ensure that all credits are appropriately assigned and verified.
  • Communicate with college/school advisors and students concerning credits remaining to complete the degree or credential.
  • Assist the graduating student population with adjustments to degree audits as agreed upon with advising staff members.
  • Run individual and batch audits to verify accuracy and support advising or graduation staff members.
  • Work with the Graduation and Diploma Specialist to post degrees at the end of each semester,
  • Assist in the production of materials and training of campus staff and students in the use of the degree audit.
  • Keep process documentation updated for position.
  • Promote campus-wide use of the degree audit system.
  • Provide support to other Registrar's Office staff when projects or peak periods require employees to work together.


Systems used include uAchieve degree audit, Transferology, and TES. The University student information system is PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $42,750 - 45,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Qualifications

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)



  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution


Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)



  • One (1) year of professional level experience working in a registrar's office, working with/operating degree audit systems and/or working in a higher education setting.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • Experience with uAchieve, Transferology, and TES.

Conditions of Employment



  • Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be required. This position requires working to support Commencement twice a year - once in May on a Saturday and once in December on a Saturday.
  • This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees work a minimum of 3 days in person and may work remotely up to two days per week, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration.
