This role will be hybrid but must be located in either Seattle, WA, Arlington, VA, or Charlotte, NC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Act as financial advisor and business partner for cross-sector Operations VPs and the Director of Finance on the Central Leadership Team.
* Support the Operations VPs and Director of Finance with analysis and review of B&I Financial reporting.
* Finance lead on operational and corporate projects. (i.e. new business openings, technology implementation, etc.).
* Support the Operations VPs on the client budgeting process, which involves detailed P&L budgeting and deep dive on financial forecasting.
* Provide financial analysis of new business and other initiatives, working closely with the sales and operations team to create proformas and ensure financial goals are achievable.
* Focus on improving business cash flow notably through:
o Effective management of Account Receivables
o Sound inventory management guidance to Ops and culinary leaders
* With Compass Group's data analytics partner, E15, develop and maintain the KPI financial dashboards for both Compass Group management and the Client.
* Guide and support the finance team with monthly close ledger and Profit Loss Statement reviews before going final.
* Analyze and review weekly and monthly results, working closely with the operational team to gain insight into financial issues.
* Seek continuous improvements in account profitability by raising the operations team's financial awareness and financial competence.
* Act as a coach financial support staff.
* Provide client ad-hoc reporting as needed.
* Review and analyze Compass reporting to confront potential issues proactively.
* Improve the quality of financial review through benchmarking and sensitivity analysis.
* Attend Area and regional operations meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

* 4+ years of relevant experience
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
* Ability to motivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key team members, senior management, and client groups on various projects and initiatives
* Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and work streams
* Ability to set and communicate timelines, roles, and responsibilities to various stakeholders and hold them accountable for deliverables
* Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills)
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Hands-on, detail-oriented with the ability to see the big picture
* Excellent skills in Microsoft applications and other BI tools
