This position will report to the Reliability Superintendent.This resource will lead the Augusta Site's Mechanical Integrity Team supporting Inspections, Static Equipment Preventative Maintenance activities, Quality Assurance and Control, and code repairs across the entire facility. The incumbent ensures these activities are effectively managed to ensure program and regulatory compliance following API Standards.

What you will do:



  • Own and be accountable for the mechanical integrity program at the Augusta site
  • ManageMI related assets using our Visions Database, Oracle EAM, and PowerBI analytics
  • Collaboratewith the Nutrien Corporate Mechanical Integrity Group on standards, and inspection and repair options
  • Maintain and develop a competent site inspection team through on the job training, coaching, mentoring and third party training and certification as required
  • Ensure equipment inspections are completed, with a goal to achieve Zero overdue
  • Lead operational risk reviews for inspection deferrals
  • Initiate capital project replacements and support project development as required
  • Determine inspection scope, coordinate, and oversee inspection resources for plant maintenance, outages, and turnarounds
  • Develop, maintain, and own department procedures, checklists, and work practice documents
  • Report monthly and quarterly inspection key performance indicators and provide and implement corrective action plans
  • Coordinate the Mechanical Integrity Team's activities with Operations, and Maintenance to proactively schedule and execute inspections and PMs to the established due dates
  • Request and coordinate outside inspection service providers and engineering services when required
  • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and supporting activities and documentation
  • SupportQC inspection of materials received
  • Ensure the site MI practices and documentation meets the API requirements to retain our site code stamp
  • Able to coach and mentor the Mechanical Integrity Team on API codes and best practices



What you will bring:



  • Technical Institute Diploma, or Journeyman Trade Certificate in a related discipline
  • API 510, API 570, ABSA In-Service Pressure Vessel and Piping Inspector Certification are required, API-653 certification would be an asset
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience required
  • A commitment to Safety and Environmental leading practices and culture
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, safely lift up to 50lbs, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, and work in confined spaces
  • Comfortable working in an industrial atmosphere with fumes, temperature extremes, loud noise, vibration, dust, etc
