Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the overall preparation of SMT kits prior to the Production floor which includes all material transactions, material movement, storage, and feeder and basket loading to the floor using SMT prep techniques and inventory & storage practices.

Job Responsibility:



  • Sort, counts and checks raw materials, finished and semi-finished parts.
  • Handles raw materials in compliance with internal Electrostatic Discharge Policies and Procedures
  • Issues material to WO and follows Bill of Material and Work Order Routing
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy at all levels. Maintains inventory on hand and stockroom data files
  • Performs required cycle counts. Audits stocking locations to ensure system transaction accuracy.
  • Performs physical inventories as required.
  • Understanding of SMT components and feeder/machine attrition
  • Understands and can research and reconcile Inventory
  • Can process MRP transactions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Stores electronic components properly and has an understanding of MSD components
  • Validates previous transactions for discrepancies and ensures internal specifications are met and traceability requirements are 100% accurate
  • Ensures Kit preparation are in compliance of Standards and internal documentation
  • Occasionally asked to work over time and Saturdays.


Required Qualifications:



  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of time is required.
  • Basic reading and writing (English language) and math ability are required.
  • Strong MRP skills and computer literate.
  • Strong Background in SMT and Manufacturing.
