Subcontractor Prequalification Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Subcontractor Prequalification Analyst to join our team. The Subcontractor
Prequalification Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and assessing
potential subcontractors to ensure they meet our company's standards and
requirements. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of financial
statements (including balance sheet and income statement), strong analytical
skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively
with various stakeholders.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of potential subcontractors' documentation and applications to assess their qualifications and capabilities.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine the financial stability and risk level of potential subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and other relevant stakeholders to understand project needs and requirements for subcontractor selection.
  • Maintain the database of prequalified subcontractors, regularly updating their status based on performance evaluations and changes in qualifications.
  • Conduct interviews, if needed, with potential subcontractors to gather additional information and insights into their capabilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and summaries outlining the findings of the subcontractor prequalification process for management review and decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to subcontractor prequalification.

JOB SKILLS &
ABILITIES GUIDELINES:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess risk.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage a large volume of subcontractor information.
  • Ability to work under firm timeline pressures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. (Or equivalent experience.)
  • Or alternatively, experience in subcontractor prequalification, vendor evaluation, or a related field within the construction industry.
  • Experience in construction accounting/construction project accounting beneficial
