Apogee is actively seeking a Security Manager to provide support to the NC3 Contract and specifically the NCS division

The AFNWC/NC3 Integration Directorate is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. The NC3 Directorate's mission is to provide support to the Program Executive Office (PEO), the Deputy Director, Deputy AFPEO NC3 staff for acquisition and administrative control of all NC divisions, branches, and programs. It consists of an Executive Section, Engineering (EN), Financial Management (FM), Operations Management (OM), Information Protection (IP), Contracts (PK), Cyber, Logistics (LG), the Program Execution Group (PEG), and Intelligence (IN).

The Strategic Communications Division (NCS) develops nuclear survivable terminals capable of communicating with the Milstar and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite constellations and future satellite constellations using both the Extremely High Frequency (EHF) and AEHF waveforms.

This is a full-time position located at Hanscom Air Force Base, Bedford, MA.

What you'll be doing



  • Advising, evaluating, maintaining, and/or operating systems, policies, devices, procedures, and methods used for safeguarding information, property, personnel, operations, and materials.
  • Advising and implementing policies and procedures for analyzing and evaluating the character, background, and history of employees, candidates for employment, and other persons having or proposed to be granted access to classified or other sensitive information, materials, or work sites.
  • The Contractor shall provide security support to the Directorate's controlled facilities to include, but not limited to:
  • Exercising delegated access control to secure areas.
  • Opening and closing controlled areas.
  • Arming and disarming facility alarm systems as required.
  • Assisting in accomplishing end-of-duty day security checks.
  • Assisting in after-hour (outside core hours) alarm response.
  • In support of those programs with stringent security requirements, personnel shall be knowledgeable of DoD security procedures, to include classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions.
  • Escorting personnel, visitors, and other parties as needed to complete work duties, subject to local security office or organizational policies.
  • Access Defense Information System for Security (DISS) on a frequent basis to perform tasks.
  • Support revised AF Security Classification Guide (SCG).


Experience:

Minimum Requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance
Education: High school diploma
Years of Experience: 7 or more years of directly related experience
Additional Experience:


  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, developing training methods for identifying and protecting information


Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Years of Experience: 3 or more years of directly related experience
