Cloud Systems Administrator, Senior Associate

Peraton is looking for a fully cleared Cloud Systems Administrator to join our Cyber Intel team here in Laurel, MD!

As a Cloud Systems Administrator you'll have the opportunity to work with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. This position is on the Analytics Engine Team. We are looking for a self-motivated Java developer who proactively completes tasks with a strong attention to detail. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be exposed to a variety of technologies depending on customer requirements. Minimally, you should be skilled in Java and have some experience with Docker or Kubernetes, Git, and Linux. Additional knowledge of Hadoop, Accumulo, Prometheus, tracing technologies such as Jaeger, concurrent programming, and Linux OS development would help you in this role.

Position Requirements:

An active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is required.
• Three (3) years of relevant experience as a systems administrator is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics is required.
  • Three (3) additional years of experience can be considered in leu of degree.
• Hadoop/Cloud System Administrator Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification isrequired.

Highly Desired:

• Highly Desired - Familiarity with microservices software development technique and container-orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
