Equipment Electrician

We are looking for a Equipment Electrician to join our team in Axis, AL.

Position Overview:
As an Equipment Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems in heavy machinery and equipment used in steel production. Your expertise will help ensure our operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in steel manufacturing equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with mechanical and maintenance teams to address complex issues.
• Install new electrical systems and components as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all electrical work.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical technology preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical issues effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain any necessary certifications.
